Challenge 2: Repopulation and promotion of territorial knowledge in Catalonia

Repopulation is essential to revitalize rural areas and ensure the sustainability of local communities. This process involves attracting new residents and encouraging diversified economic activities that generate employment and wealth. In addition, territorial knowledge is decisive for adapting development strategies to the particularities of each region. This includes understanding natural resources, available infrastructures, and local social and cultural dynamics.

With a deep knowledge of the territory, balanced and adjusted growth can be promoted at the local level. In this sense, the aim is to preserve the heritage as well as the identity of the repopulated areas, being key to promote and promote trades in rural areas through new technologies as well as local knowledge.
