I2CAT Private Foundation, Internet and Digital Innovation in Catalonia opts for a participatory, direct and deliberative democracy and to make visible and promote initiatives that, both individually and collectively, can contribute to debate, design or value municipal and citizen actions in favour of the common good. The platform also aims to facilitate and make visible the debates, design, assessment, negotiation, modification, monitoring and evaluation of public policies that are carried out outside the platform, in order to offer citizens maximum transparency. In this sense, comunitat.colabscatalunya.cat must be able to present future initiatives for citizen participation and direct, participatory or deliberative democracy, including those that promote disintermediation between the Foundation and the citizens of Catalonia and those that encourage and facilitate cooperation, association and self-organization among the citizens themselves.
